Before her weight loss transformation, Zoe Dooley struggled with her confidence and would stick to wearing baggy clothes.
At her heaviest, the 44-year-old tipped the scales at 18st 13lbs.
After realising it was time to kick-start her journey, Zoe decided to join WW – formally known as Weight Watchers.
Now, speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, she revealed how the plan helped her to lose weight.
“The main reason for me joining WW was that I wanted to feel better in myself”
She said: “I’d seen a colleague of mine lose 3st thanks to WW and so despite having previously tried Slimming World and other diet plans I thought I would give it a shot.
“In my first week I lost an incredible 10lbs and that then gave me the motivation I needed to stick at it.
“I wanted to lose weight, but the main reason for me joining WW was that I wanted to feel better in myself, both mentally and physically.
“I didn’t have an confidence and would stick to wearing baggy clothes so that my figure wasn’t visible.
“Being part of WW completely changed all that – my wardrobe is now filled with dresses and skirts and now I wear them with pride.”
Before WW, Zoe was never a “big fan” of exercise, but since her journey she enjoys running.
“With me leading a much healthier lifestyle I decided to take up running because it just felt like I had so much more energy,” she added.
“I’m building up slowly, but really enjoying it. It’s such a great way to clear your head and makes you feel tonnes better physically. I’m hoping to take on a 5km run soon.”
And Zoe – who now weighs 13st 13lbs – also revealed how her diet hasn’t changed much since the plan.
She continued: “The beauty of the WW programme is that nothing is off limits.
“You can still have whatever meals you’re craving, as long as you make sure you’re tracking everything and you’re sensible in terms of taking things in moderation.
“I’ve had a few weeks off here and there, but because the WW programme is so inclusive it’s easy to pick up again.”
Not only has has she lost weight, Zoe has seen her a growth in her confidence.
She concluded: “The weight loss journey has been amazing. I feel better, look better and have more confidence than ever before.
“It’s added so much to my life – like I say I’ve never done anything like running consistently before or cooking fresh meals of all different kinds.
“This has become a lifestyle for me, I don’t really see it as a diet anymore. I feel like there’s still a long way to go, and I can’t wait for my future now.”
