This woman lost four stone and shed belly fat by cutting out a certain drink – Express

This dieter loss an incredible amount of weight following a simple diet plan.

A Reddit user, who uses the name “Dotdays”, shrank down from 13 and a half stone down to nine and a half stone.

So how did the woman, who is 32, manage to lose the weight?

Originally the dieter cut out one type of drink to shed the weight, before overhauling her whole food outlook.

She told fellow Reddit users: “It took me just over a year, through first cutting out all fizzy drinks, snacks, going vegetarian and then taking up running.

“I didn’t follow a diet to lose the weight but I now do intermittent fasting and CICO to TRY to maintain, I fall off the wagon often.”

What is the CICO diet

The CICO diet stands for calories in and calories out.

CICO means eating less calories than you expend, which many claim is the golden equation to lose weight.

However, some warn that focusing on calories and not nutrition could be unhealthy.

The Reddit user also listed what she ate in a day, claiming it generally followed a similar pattern.

Weight loss meal plan

Breakfast: Porridge with soy milk and raw sugar or avocado on whole grain toast

Lunch: Soup and one slice of toast or a salad

Dinner: Anything with loads of veggies or a salad, like vegetarian lasagna or zucchini noodles.

I quite often use meat substitutes like vegetarian sausages or patties or even jackfruit. Mushrooms and halloumi are a great meat replacement too.

She added: “I think it only worked because I was SO overweight (obese) that just cutting out fizzy drink, going vegetarian and running created enough of a calorie deficit that the weight just fell off and I didn’t have to think too much about it.

“But now, I have to really make a huge effort to maintain.

“I use the Fast 800 Diet when I’m feeling out of control (I have BED which got me to that point the first place) and I try to run at least 4 times a week, Map My Run and C25K is a great starting point for running.”

Another Reddit user followed a weight loss diet plan to lose 3 st 11lb. 

This dieter had slimmed down from 12st 12lb to a healthy 9st 1lb.

She also said she is 30-years-old and 5ft 3in.

The slimmer explained she followed a low-carb keto diet for a year and a half to help her shape up.

The Reddit user said the diet helped her kick unhealthy cravings and that the foods on the plan kept her feeling full.
